FormIt Pro is a multi-platform 3D application used in the design, analysis, and feasibility study phases of a project.
Based on the concept of processing a project from the sketch stage to gradually detailed up to its DDE phase, the application is useful for space planning, surface area calculation, volume, and energy sustainability studies.
FormIt Pro is an intuitive and advanced 3D drawing and modeling tool, offering capabilities such as:
Solid modeling through addition and subtraction methods (solid push-pull and voids)
Extrusion of openings at different angles, creating complex shapes
Advanced generation tools such as Shell, Flatten, Loft, Sweep, Cover, 3D fillet, Tilt faces
Solid split operations
Geometry simplifications and edge combinations
Intelligent selection tools: group selection, identical surfaces, contour selection, vertex selection filters, edges, or faces
Mesh object modeling and conversion between solid and mesh
Model diagnostics
Translating shapes to 3D printers or other applications such as Revit, 3DS Max, Unity
The FormIt model can be imported into Revit, the associated materials will be part of the Revit material list, and FormIt objects become Revit system families: walls, floors, roofs, curtain walls
FormIt is integrated with Dynamo and contains visual scripts for generating stairs, curtain walls, and axes
The ability to locate the future construction on the map, connecting to the nearest weather station data provides the ability to obtain solar radiation impact studies, model energy efficiency, and access to Insight analysis and optimizations.
FormIt Pro is part of Autodesk's BIM360 ecosystem, allowing simultaneous work on models, saving them in the cloud, and independent access to files from any location.
FormIt Pro can run on iOS mobile devices, via the Web, or installed as a Windows application.
